Howdy! I'm Bee. I'm a mostly self-taught digital artist with a bachelor's degree in digital art/media (with a heavy focus in graphic design) as of December 2022. I've been drawing digitally for about 12 years, but I've been drawing in general for as long as I could remember. I grew up watching animated films and cartoons and... *cough* a n i m e... and I have a developed a very deep appreciation for the medium, so much so that it was even a potential career path. My dreams of being an animator have long been dashed, however (mainly due to the lack of patience neccessary for that line of work ^^;), but I still feel that my stories would best be shared through a visual medium. Naturally, comics seemed like the obvious direction to take my work! I hope to share them with you soon.
I'm currently hard at work on my first webcomic and that should start being released sometime soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
In the meantime, I'm setting my sights on a career in graphic design. A big thing about me is that I love learning all kinds of digital mediums, as I think versatility is a very important aspect to this line of work. Right now I'm messing around with motion graphics--things like stream stings and stream hoods. Animation looks like it can still be a possibility for me, just not in the way I expected.
Although not exactly linked to graphic design, I'm also dipping my toes in music production. Just for fun.
At this point, I'm hoarding skills like a dragon. Eventually, I'm going to be a one-man powerhouse so watch out!

Past Work Experience: Approx. 12 years of digital art experience (complete with freelance illustration commission gigs spanning across that time), approximately 2 years at a DIY wooden sign shop where I had to help prepare stencils and facilitate workshops (I have floor experience, but I didn't really get the chance to learn the cash register. Willing to learn though!)
Award(s): Saint Vincent Academic Excellence in Digital Art and Media, April 2022. I also had a piece used in the school's Founders Day exhibition in 2021
Likes: messing around with different forms of digital media, cartoons, coffee and tea (I don't see the point in pitting two bad bitches against eachother), crocheting (albeit very poorly lol), gouache, hiking
Dislikes: loud/sudden noises, people that take themselves too seriously, and, alternatively, people that can't take anything seriously ever... at all
Tools of the Trade:Huion Kamvas 24 (my pride and joy), Clip Studio Paint. Ironically, all of the graphics seen on this site so far have been made in MS Paint with a mouse. Woops
Next medium I want to try: Print making seems pretty cool. Specifically relief printing
Favorite movies: I've suddenly forgotten every movie I've ever watched. Will come back to this lmao
Favorite Shows: Mob Psycho 100, Golden Kamuy, Gravity Falls, Ed Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Invader Zim
